Endometritis

The bacteria, which naturally exists in the body can end up in the wrong place and this can result in an endometritis. Endometritis can also be caused by sexually transmitted diseases (STD). Endometritis is a rising infection, which rises from the vagina up to the uterus from where it can spread to the fallopian tubes and ovaries causing a pelvic inflammatory disease.

Symptoms of endometritis

• Pain in the lower back
• Pain in the lower abdomen (very common)
• Unusual discharge (weird color, consistency or smell) or bleeding
• Fever
• Cold shivers
• Pelvic pain
• Nausea
• A fast heart rate
• Constipation
• A bloated stomach
• Pain while urinating (urinating issues)
• Fatigue
• Pain during sexual intercourse. 

Treating endometritis

Endometritis is treated with antibiotics. In a more serious case, where the patient has fever, the treatment is done intravascularly at the hospital at first. If the patient has developed abscesses in the fallopian tubes or abdominal cavity area, which is possible in severe cases, surgery might be needed.
