Our occupational health customers have the option of using the SupervisorChat service to offer supervisors support and general advice by an occupational health nurse for their supervisory work through an online chat service. The implementation of the service is agreed on a company-by-company basis.
Supervisors can access the SupervisorChat service when they want to discuss matters related to work ability, the work community, support in mental wellbeing and coping challenges, bringing up certain issues, partial sickness allowance, vocational rehabilitation, temporary work arrangements or general advice in supervisory work.
In the chat, advice is provided by occupational health nurses, who can also leave a call request to their own occupational health team or other professionals, if necessary. The chat is open Mon–Sun from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and all messages are responded to within about five minutes. The chat service is considered to be preventive occupational health care and, consequently, it is included in the Kela reimbursement category Kela1. The service is invoiced on a time basis according to the normal hourly rate of an occupational health nurse.
