The EU Digital COVID Certificate for a child requires strong authentication of the child’s identity. You can use these instructions to get the EU Digital COVID Certificate for your child by e-mail.
Please note that the EU Digital COVID Certificate cannot be obtained for children aged 10–17 from My Kanta without strong authentication of the child, i.e. Tupas authentication with online banking credentials.
The EU Digital COVID Certificate can be printed in Mehiläinen’s certificate service for tests performed in Mehiläinen.
If a child aged 10–17 needs a printout of the EU Digital COVID Certificate but is unable to use their personal authentication in My Kanta, follow the instructions below.
EU Digital COVID Certificate for children aged 10–12
- Download the OmaMehiläinen app

Log in to https://secure.mehilainen.fi
Enter your e-mail address in the Sender field and click or tap Continue
On the next page, click or tap Register
You will receive an e-mail message titled Registration. At the end of the message, you will see a link where you can send your message and attach the filled-in family consent form for adding the child to your family profile. - Add the child to your family profile. Read the instructions.
- Contact us through the OmaMehiläinen app: OmaMehiläinen > Digital Clinic > Customer service and ask for the certificate to be delivered to your e-mail. Keep in mind that the request must be made through the family profile with the child’s information.
You will receive the EU Digital COVID Certificate within the next weekday via e-mail.
EU Digital COVID Certificate for children aged 12–17

Download the OmaMehiläinen mobile application for Android devices - Fill in the consent form with the child and send it to omamehilainen@mehilainen.fi, titled "EU:n koronatodistuspyyntö” (‘Request for EU Digital COVID Certificate’).
Log in to https://secure.mehilainen.fi
Enter your e-mail address in the Sender field and click or tap Continue
On the next page, click or tap Register
You will receive an e-mail message titled Registration. At the end of the message, you will see a link where you can send your message and attach the filled-in family consent form for adding the child to your family profile. - Wait for e-mail confirmation on adding the child to your family profile. Log in to the OmaMehiläinen app and use the services with your child's information.
- Contact us through the OmaMehiläinen app: OmaMehiläinen > Digital Clinic > Customer service and ask for the certificate to be delivered to your e-mail.
You will receive the EU Digital COVID Certificate within the next weekday via e-mail.
